Awarded 'Best Overall' and 'Best Mental Health' Film at the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System Film Awards

This video tells the shocking story and real-life struggle to get any kind of help and support for service users with eating disorders in Suffolk and North East Essex.

This was a collaborative project by 34 volunteers in Suffolk and North East Essex and showcases some prominent areas of Felixstowe and Ipswich.

All 34 volunteers have either been affected by Eating Disorders or support those who do.

The poem was written by: Sarah Donnelly and Marie Dawson

Cups and Cakes Cafe Logo Design

Cups and Cakes Original Logo

I was asked to create an improved, clean looking logo, based on this original logo idea for Cups and Cakes Cafe.

Logo Sketch

First I created rough sketches of a few logo ideas to check in with the client that I was going in the right direction.

First Draft

The client was happy to proceed to the next stage where I made this vector logo in Adobe Illustrator.

Final Render

The client loved the logo, but we decided to make it even simpler and cleaner looking so we removed the extra stars.

This was the final result. Sent to the client in all the various formats that they needed, in an easy to use file structure.

Supershoes Charity Christmas Campaign Video

Creative Ideas

I was asked to create a Christmas campaign to increase donations over Christmas.

The video needed to be hard hitting and emotional to encourage donations but also to show off the work of the charity.

The first stage I came up with various ideas of what kind of video I could do and put them to the client to decide.

Storyboard

The next stage is drawing out a rough draft on paper to show the client the idea as a visual aid both to show what can be done and to provide a structure for the video

Gather Footage

As part of the creative ideas process, we knew we needed footage of the children with their Supershoes. Therefore we created a social media post to ask for photos and collect footage for the video.

Animation & VFX

Whilst we were waiting for footage to come in. I animated and used particle visual effects to create the text for the video.

Rough Edit - Footage & Sound

Once I had enough footage and the animated text, I could create a rough edit with sound. The chosen music also helped to add to the emotional feel of the video.

This rough edit was then sent to the client for checks and feedback.

Final Cut

With the rough edit feedback given, I made any relevant changes and exported the final cut of the video.
