Sarah Donnelly & Marie Dawson Film Entry: How Do We Help Everyone To Heal? - The Cycle of "Support" For Eating Disorders. This video tells the shocking story and real life struggle to get any kind of help and support for service users with eating disorders in Suffolk and North East Essex. Sufferers being told they are not thin or obese enough to receive any kind of help, then discharged. To the point it has caused such mental and physical harm they cannot cope anymore and some don't even feel able to ask for help. Sadly many eating disorder sufferers die by suicide. Denial of the hidden impact these serious illnesses have, by systems that were designed to support, is a huge part of the problem. Eating Disorder sufferers desperately need to be given the opportunity to heal. This is a collaborative project by 34 volunteers in Suffolk and North East Essex, and showcases some prominent areas of Felixstowe and Ipswich.
